Effects of Ambroxol Combined with Ribavirin Administered by Air Compression Pump in Treating Bronchiolitis

Abstract
Objective To explore the curative effects of ambroxol combined with ribavirin administered by air compression pump in treating bronchiolitis.Methods A total of 98 bronchiolitis cases were randomly divided into the treatment group(n=50) and the control group(n=48).The treatment group received ambroxol combined with ribavirin administered by air compression pump,while the control group received chymotrypsin and ribavirin inhalation through ultrasound.Results The durations of panting,cough,wheezing rale,moist rale and hospital stay of the treatment group were significantly shorter than those of the control group(P0.01).Total effective rates were significantly different between the treatment group and the control group(96.00% vs 75.00%,χ2=8.82,P0.01).Conclusion It is worth recommending to treat bronchiolitis using ambroxol combined with ribavirin administered by air compression pump,since this method is both effective and safe.
