Abstract
Activated carbon supported phosphotungstic acid(PW/C) catalysts were prepared by in-situ method.Epoxypropylphosphate,a product from epoxidation of cis-propenylphosphonic acid, was added as the modifier during the preparation to obtain modified PW/C catalysts. The catalysts were used for epoxidation of cis-propenylphosphonic acid. The results showed that the catalyst with 5% mass fraction of the modifier enhanced the epoxypropylphosphate yield by 58.4%,with improved stability for repeated use.IR,BET and XRD results indicated that phosphotungstic acid heteropolyacid was the main active catalytic component.
