Evaluation of the Performance of BECKMAN SYNCHRON-LX20 Automated Biochemistry Analyzer

Objective: Evaluating the performance of BECKMAN SYNCHRON-LX20 automated biochemistry analyzer.Method:We used the evaluating standard that produced by National Committee for Clinical Laboratory Standards(NCCLS) to evaluate the analyzer's precision,linearity,interference,rate of recovery and cross contamination by the biochemistry reagents that produced by BECKMAN.Result:The six items haved been tested including Potassium(K+),Glucose(GLU),Alanine aminotransterase(ALT),Total Protein(TP),Creatinine(Cr),Triglycerides(TG) and showed that all total coefficient of variation(CV) of precision tests are less than 5%.The correlation coefficients of the linearity tests are:0.99,0.98,0.98,0.99,0.99,0.97.Interference tests:the interference was no significant to GLU、Cr、TG when Haemoglobin10g/L,was no significant to TP when Haemoglobin8g/L,was no significant to ALT when Haemoglobin4g/L and was no significant to all six items when Bilirubin300umol/L.The rate of recovery was: 100.4%,101.1%,97.3%,99.2%,100.4%,98.7%.The rate of cross contamination was 0.03%,0.81%,0.79%,0.97%,0.95%,0.50%.Conclusion: BECKMAN SYNCHRON-LX20 automated biochemistry analyzer is low rate of cross contamination and good precision,interference,linearity tests.All parameters satisfied the demand of design and reached the standards produced by the country.
