Effect of “Lixu Jieyu Formula” on Behavioristics of Rats with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

Objective: To observe effect of Lixu Jieyu on behavioristics of rats with multiple stimuli. Methods: Fifty SD rats were randomly divided into 5 groups: normal control,model group,Chinese medicine groups( low, middle and high dose),with 10 rats in each group. Except for normal control group,the models in the other groups were established; the rats in normal group and model group were treated with 2 ml normal saline intragastrically every day. The rats in Chinese medicine groups of low,middle and high dose were treated with 0. 5 g / ml,1 g / ml,2 g / ml herbal solution intragastrically for 30 days continuously. We observed the changes of rats' behavioristics. Results: Compared with normal control group,the model group manifested a series of abnormal variations in Open-field test,tail hanging test and exhausting swimming test. Compared with the model group,Lixu Jieyu Formulacan improve the times of crossing lattice in Open-field test,shorten the times of static and flounces,prolong the time of swimming till exhaustion. It is showed statistic significance( P 0. 05,P 0. 01). Conclusion: Lixu Jieyu Formula can relieve the physical and mental fatigue of CFS rats significantly.
