Abstract

The process of penetrating obliquely moving armored plate with KE projectile was numerically simulated by the finite element code LS-DYNA.The damage images of the moving armored targets are described and the variation of remaining velocity to time was obtained for KE projectile. The simulation results indicate that impact velocity、impact angle、moving armored plate speed and direction had effects on the ability of KE projectile penetrating moving armored targets.
