Abstract
Objective To explore the role of visfatin in type 2 diabetes(T2D) patients complicated with acute cerebral infarction. Methods Forty-one T2D patients were divided into infarction group(n=21) and control group(n=20).BMI,blood pressure,FPG,HbA1C,FINS,blood lipid, visfatin and hsCRP were measured before treatment, and visfatin and hsCRP were measured in stable condition on the 10th day after treatment. Results After acute infarction, the levels of serum visfatin and hsCRP were significantly higher in the infarction group than in the control group(P0.01).After treatment, they decreased obviously(P0.01) and there was no statistic difference between the two groups. Conclusion Serum visfatin contributes to the pathogenesis of T2D complicated with cerebral infarction.
