Abstract

Objective To evaluate the treatment of ureteral calculi with ESWL. Methods 752 patients with ureteral calculi were diagnosised by ultrasonography and 696 patients were treated by ESWL under direction of ultrasound. Results The effective rate of treatment to ureteral calculi with ESWL was 97.8% by using ultrasound directing. Conclusions ESWL is the preferred treatment for ureteral calculi, technique and suitable operation can improve the effective rate.
