Analysis on Death Causes of Disease and Injury among Residents in Qi'an Town of Tongzhou District in Nantong City

[Objective]To understand the death status and main death causes among residents in Qi'an town of Nantong city in 2009,provide the basis for making the disease control measures.[Methods]The death data of residents in Qi'an town in 2009 were analyzed with classification of death causes and abridged life table.[Results]The total mortality of residents was 1114.15 /lakh in 2009,and the life expectancy was 75.40 years old.The top five death causes were cerebrovascular disease,malignant tumor,respiratory diseases,heart disease,injury and poisoning.[Conclusion]The chronic diseases,injury and poisoning were the main death causes of residents in Qi'an town,and the prevention and control should be strengthened.
