Abstract
Objective To explore the prevention strategies of ventilator associated pneumonia due to mechanical ventilation.Methods The data of 28 patients,clinical information who had ventilator associated pneumonia were retrospectively analyzed.The patients were in the RICU of our hospital during January 2008 to 2010.Results In the 28 patients of ventilator associated pneumonia,17 cases were cured,and 11 cases were dead.Conclusion The morbidity and mortality of ventilator pneumonia are high.In order to control the occurrence and spread of ventilator associated pneumonia,integrate control should be performed such as prevention-first strategy,more attention given to sterilization and isolation,shortening the time of ventilator and strengthening the nursing care for the patients.
