An Analysis of Interlanguage Grammatical Errors in Uyghur English Learners

Abstract

Interlanguage is a language system which is developed by English learners themselves,different from the Native Language and Target Language during the process of second language acquisition.It is an inevitable phase in second language acquisition.According to the interlanguage theories and its five developing processes,we can classify the grammar errors in College English Writing Learning of Xinjiang Minority English learners into five categories: Native Language Negative Transfer,Overgeneralization,Transfer Due to the Effects of Teaching,Communication Strategies and Second Language Acquisition Strategies.Because of the words' limit,this paper tries to analyze the first two types of errors with the hope that it will lead the teachers to know the errors and use proper methods to help the learners improve their interlanguage system close to the target language.
