Research Progress in Molecular Biology of Corneal Neovascularization

Corneal neovascularization is not a particular disease in a strict sense,but a common pathological changes of various corneal diseases.Under normal physiological conditions,corneal tissue is transparent with no vascular.Corneal neovascularization is often secondary to physical and chemical injury,infection and other kind of eye diseases.The formation mechanism of corneal neovascularization is complex,in which many factors are directly or indirectly involved according to recent study results.Here is to make a review on the mechanisms of these factors in the promotion of corneal neovascularization.
