Abstract
Objective To evaluate the effect of the three radiotherapy methods by comparing the occurrence of radiation-induced lung injury in receiving radiotherapy on the chest wall and supraclavicular area of the postoperative stageⅡand Ⅲ breast cancers..Methods:156 cases were divided into three groups according to different radiotherapy methods, conventional radiotherapy (groupA)which gives full electron-radiotherapy of 50 Gy/25f,conventional and intensity modulated radiotherapy(IMRT)(groupB) which gives 18 Gy/9f of IMRT after conventional electronradiotherapy of 32 Gy/16f,conventional and three-dimensional conformal radiotherapy(3DCRT)(groupC) which gives 18 Gy/9f of 3DCRT after conventional electron-radiotherapy of 32 Gy/16f.Results:There are statistical differences in the occurrence of radiation-induced lung injury and distant metastasis rates in three groups(P0.05).For the occurrence of radiation-induced lung injury, there are statistical differences only in group conventional radiotherapy and conventional and intensity modulated radiotherapy(IMRT)(P0.05).There are no statistical differences in the incidences of radiation-induced lung injury and distant metastasis rates in other groups(P0.05);Conclusion:conventional and intensity modulated radiotherapy(IMRT) can reduce the occurrence of radiation-induced lung injury, better control distant metastasis rate of the postoperative stageⅡand Ⅲ breast cancers.
