Abstract
Objective: To make clinical observation of ultrasound biomicroscopy(UBM) in the examination and diagnosis of iris and ciliary cysts. Methods: The patients with unexplained eye pain, eye swelling, eye discomfort, and high intraocular pressure underwent horizontal and vertical scanning by UBM,the oval non-echo areas that be found were researched and analysed. Results: In 589 patients(1178 eyes),26 cases(43 eyes) had iris and ciliary cysts, the detection rate was 3.65%.Among them,17 cases(28 eyes) were single cysts, the occurrence rate was 65.12%;9 cases(15 eyes) were multiple cysts, the occurrence rate was 34.88%.Conclusion: UBM has unique advantages in the examination and diagnosis of iris and ciliary cysts, and can provide a basis for diagnosis and treatment.
