Abstract
Objective:To evaluate the surgical effects of pars plana vitrectomy for proliferative diabetic retinophaty (PDR).Methods.Thirty-seven cases(41 eyes) with PDR were operated in vitrectomy combined with retinal photocoagulation, stripping of membrane, exchange of gas and fluid, silicon oil filling respectively. Results:All of the cases were performed vitrectomy successfully. The final visual acuity got improved in 35 eyes(85.4%).The final visual acuity unchanged in 5 eyes(12.2%).The final visual acuity decreased in 1 eyes(2.4%).All of the cases were not retinal detached after operation and complemented retinal photocoagulation, diabetic retinophaty were controlled. Conclusion:Vitrectomy is an effective treatment for PDR.
