Abstract
After an investigation on ore properties of an oolitic hematite ore from abroad, mineral processing tests were carried out adopting a roasting-magnetic separation flowsheet and a high intensity magnetic separation( HIMS) process. Results show this oolitic hematite ore possesses good beneficiability, and indexes obtained by roasting-magnetic separation approach are comparatively superior to that of HIMS process. After being roasted at 750 ℃ for 50 min with a coal dosage as 6%,the obtained roasted ore was subjected to a process of one-roughing and one-cleaning magnetic separation with magnetic field intensity of 100 kA / m,resulting in the concentrate around 96. 43% iron grade at 64. 60% recovery, containing 5. 33% SiO 2,with a concentration ration of 1. 23.
