Observation of post-apoplexy spastic hemiplegia treated with acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine

Abstract

Objective To observe the efficacy and safety of post-apoplexy spastic hemiplegia treated with the integration of acupuncture and medicine.Methods Seventy cases were randomly divided into two groups.Control group(35 cases) was treated with traditional Chinese medicine,while the treatment group(35 cases) was treated with acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine.Two months were a course.Results After treatment,comparing with that before treatment,the spasm severity and the daily life activity improved in both groups.There was statistical significance between before and after treatment(P 0.05).But the both results in the treatment group were superior to that in the control group(P 0.05).Conclusion The integration of acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine can reduce the muscular tension and improve the daily life activity.
