Abstract
Liquid-crystal display (LCD) has the merits of small volume, light weight, ultra low power, ultra thin, low drive voltage, etc. So it has been widely used in many portable computers. A three digit LCD display system was designed, which consists of MCU C8051F266 as control core for the system, BCD–to–seven segment latch/decoder/driver, and standard seven segment LCD EDS812. The LCD drive soft was programmed with C language. The system is easy to be implemented, so it has good reference value for application.
