TCM Method of Nourishing Yin,Tonifying Qi and Activating Blood in Treating 48 Cases of Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy

Abstract

To observe the effect of nourishing Yin,tonifying Qi and activating blood method for diabetic peripheral neuropathy which is differentiated as deficiency of both Qi and Yin as well as blood stasis.The 93 cases were divided randomly into two groups,the treatment group (n=48) were administrated with the tradi- tional Chinese medicine of nourishing Yin,tonifying Qi and activating blood,and the control group (n=45) with intramuscular injection of the placebo Methyeobal and Vitamin B_1,and the curative effects was compared. The results showed that both two therapies could improve the clinical symptoms,the treatment group had bet- ter improvement in limbs numbness,pain,limbs cold,dark and purple tongue compared with the control group (P0.01),and the electromyogram movement and sensory conduction velocity of the treatment group was bet- ter than that of the control group (P0.05).
