Abstract

[Objective] To grasp the number of anopheles population in Chongqing, provide scientific basis for malaria control.[Methods] Chose investigation point in each country's east, west, south, north areas.Caught 50 anopheles or the whole anopheles in 50 mosquito nets at each investigation point's living room;Caught 50-100 anopheles in each bull barn, then which were raised singly.Identified the species of each anopheles after it lay spawn.Studied the major vector of malaria's distribution, density, seasonal dynamics, vectorial capacity and the sensitivity to pesticides.[Results] 13 kinds of anopheles were found among those points.Anopheles sinensis was dominant species. The lesser was Anopheles anthropophagus and Anopheles minimus, etc.Investigated 37 countries out of 40 countries,Anopheles anthropophagus was found in 20 countries(54.05%).Most of Anopheles anthropophagus distributed in the south suburbs of the Chonqing and periurban areas.Bishan Jiangjin,Yongchuan,Tongliang were the major areas in which the constituent ratio of Anopheles anthropophagus in living rooms was 83.33%,49.49%,30.69%,30.21%,respectively;The topography of those countries was flat, altitude was between 200-290m.There were streams, ponds, paddy fields in those places.Vectorial capacity of Anopheles anthropophagus in Jiangjin and Tongliang was 3.54 and 4.09.Anopheles anthropophagus was sensitive to pesticides but Anopheles sinensis was resistant to pesticides.[Conclusion] Anopheles anthropophagus and Anopheles sinensis are the major vectors of malaria in Chongqing.Anopheles anthropophagus is the primary vector of which the vectorial capacity is between 3.54-4.09.Anopheles anthropophagus is sensitive to pesticides but Anopheles sinensis is resistant to pesticides.Using pesticides in turns is effective.
