In comparison to summative assessment, formative assessment focuses on the application of knowledge and aptitude. It aims to explore students' potential and self-control in learning through detecting the crux of problems, giving immediate correction, remedy and adjustment in teaching. A dynamic evaluation of oral aptitude is supposed based on the theory of formative assessment.
