Abstract

Urbanization has always been a non-equilibrium process. To urbanization itself, urbanization will lead to the expansion of urban-rural income gap,and government-led urbanization will become more serious, whether it is driven by market or government,if the endogenous driving force of urban-rural population transfer is the income gap between urban and rural areas. This article has confirmed this conclusion by theoretical analysis, and studied the effect of urbanization to relative income gap and the absolute income gap between urban and rural areas based on Chinese data from 1978 to 2009.The author puts forward some suggestions in related field.
