Abstract

Objective To investigate the clinical significance of soluble CD40 ligand(sCD40L),interleukin-18(IL-18),interleukin-6(IL-6),matrix metalloproteinase-9(MMP-9) in obstructive sleep apnea hypopnoea syndrome(OSAHS) patients without complications. Methods All observed subjects were divided into 4 groups: control subjects, mild OSAHS,moderate OSAHS and severe OSAHS.Serum sDC40L,IL-18,IL-6,MMP-9 concentrations were measured and compared.Furthermore, the sleep apnea hypopnea index(AHI) and lowest pulse oxygen saturation(SpO2) were detected too. Results ① Compared to control subjects, the serum levels of sCD40L,IL-18,IL-6 and MMP-9 were increased significantly in OSAHS patients(P0.01).② sCD40L,IL-18,IL-6 and MMP-9 related to each other and closely related AHI and SpO2 respectively. Conclusion The serum levels of sCD40L,IL-18,IL-6 and MMP-9 were increased in OSAHS patients, indicated that OSAHS perhaps closely related to the inflammation.
