Abstract
Shen Congwen's writings carry rich homeland nature and tints of Chu culture.Like Qu Yuan,Shen Congwen has always cherished the feeling of his homeland Xiangxi.He describes the distinctive and colourful ethnic customs in Xiangxi with imagination and vividness.His writings highlight the contradiction of reality and individual ideals and distribute a light aloneness and sadness.He absorbs the romantic of Chu culture and describes his romantic pursuit of country life.
