Abstract
In late Song dynasty social question is extremely serious,and it has become a crisis.War damaged the normal life and production order in Song dynasty seriously.The population growth is also threatened.In addition,the heavy taxes have also affected the birth of the people.Population quantity directly related to the national army and finance income.Therefore,Song government had been trying to promote population growth.But in excessive survival pressure,people in Song dynasty choose birth control behavior consciously.Therefore,it is very difficult to implement the population policy.
