Abstract
The condensation chitosan by o-hydroxybenzaldehyde was prepared by using microwave irradiation and by traditional methods respectively and the two methods were compared.IR spectra of the products indicated that the molecular structures of condensation chitosan prepared by two methods were identical. The reaction conditions such as option of solvent, reaction time,pH value and proportion of reactant were optimized through using orthogonal design as follows: 94.75 % condensation degree could be achieved by using microwave in the 95 % ethanol at pH 5.0,proportion of reactant as 5∶1,3 min reaction time.Comparing with traditional ways,Microwave-assisted synthesis has obvious advantages such as short reaction time and high product yield.
