Abstract

Objective To compare the analysis of the efficacy of traditional thoracotomy and assisted thoracic small incision in the treatment of chest trauma, and thus provide further basis for guiding the choice of treatment of chest trauma. Methods From January 2008 to January 2010 in 32 cases of small incision surgery in our hospital VATS patients with chest trauma and the establishment of the observation group, and another 30 cases of thoracic trauma patients choose treatment application thoracotomy during the same period as a control group, the comparative analysis of the two groups in operative time, blood loss, postoperative hospital stay and mortality. Results The surgical observation group is short, less bleeding, less intraoperative blood transfusion, shorter hospital stay, with no postoperative deaths, the mortality rate was significantly lower than the thoracotomy group, the two groups, the difference was significant,P0.05.Conclusion The assisted thoracic small incision in the treatment of chest trauma and safety, less invasive, fewer complications, significantly better than thoracotomy.
