Abstract
Objective To study the development of carotid atherosclerosis by ultrasonography and evaluate its significance. Methods Carotid arteries of 50 patients and 150 normal controls with TIA were examined by B-mode and Doppler ultrasound. And the echogericity of the atherosclerosis plague were studied. Results The presence of carotid atherosclerosis plague in patients with TIA was 76.0%. It is more often seen at BIF, and is more heterogeneous and hypoechoic. Conclusions Carotid atherosclerosis is significantly related with TIA. In order to prevent and decrease the risk,it is necessary that current situation of carotid artery should be surveyed.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
