Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the value of carotid ultrasonography in etiological diagnosis of transient ischemic attack(TIA).Methods: Fifty eight TIA patients and 46 healthy controls were both performed and examined by performing carotid ultrasonography. Results: The incidence rate of carotid atherosis and plaque in TIA group were significantly higher compared with the control group(P0.05).Conclusions: There was a close relationship between carotid lesion and TIA.Detecting carotid atherosclerosis with Color Doppler is clinically significant in the etiological diagnosis and treatment in TIA.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
