Abstract
Objective:To compare the clinical effects of root canal therapy using two preparation methods. Method: A total of 120 patients were enrolled in this study. 60 premolars were prepared by Protaper file using crown-down technique and 60 premolars were prepared by K file using modified double-flare technique. The main assessments included prepara- tion time, postoperative pain and obturation quality. Result:Compared with stainless K file, the Protaper displayed dramati- cally less root canal preparation time, less postoperative pain and better obturation quality (p0.05). Conclusion:Root canal preparation using Protaper can improve the clinical efficiency and effects of root canal therapy.
