Clinical evaluation of therapeutic effects on tongxinluo capsule in 50 patients with blood supply insufficiency of vertebrobasilar artery

Objective: To evaluate the therapeutic effects on Tongxinluo capsule in patients with vertebrobasilar ischemia.Methods: 100 cases of the patients suffering vertebrobasilar ischemia were randomly divided into treatment group and control group.The patients in treatment group were treated with Tongxinluo capsule,and those in control group were given with Compound Danshen by oral administration for the period of 8 weeks.The therapeutic effects were compared between two groups by skull Dopplar ultrasound and blood rheologic examination,before and after 8 weeks treatment.Results: The effects of decreasing of plasma adhesion and increasing of VM in vertebrobasilar artery were significant in treatment group than those in control group.The total effective rate of improving symptom was 96% in treatment group and 86% in control group respectively(P0.5).Conclusion: Tongxinluo capsule has better therapeutic effects for the patients with vertebrobasilar ischemia.
