Abstract
The optimum culture medium of colony growth and sporulation for Phytophthora nicotianae Breda was studied.Result showed that the pathogenic bacteria grew fastest on oatmeal glucose agar medium and slowest on potato sucrose agar medium,but V8 medium was the optimum culture medium in growth;Effect of different culture medium was different in sporulation:all culture medium producted sporangium few or no,and PDA medium producted zoospore most in all mediums;it had more effect to add different nutrient component in medium,it would product plenty of sporangium when sesame sucrose agar was added with 0.1%KNO3 and others do few or no,it would product zoospore most when 0.1%KNO3 was added in PSA medium,and it would product zoospore least when 0.1%KNO3 was added in 10% sisal extract medium.
