Abstract

The relative fatness of Rattus norvegicus was studied in Northern Xinjiang during 1997~2000.The result showed that there are no significant differences of relative fatness with respect to habitats and age-groups, However the fatness of different sexual were observed, and the females were fatter than males. There are obvious seasonal changes in the relative fatness. The yearly variation of the relative fatness showed that it had an significant differences, but not correlation to its population dynamics.
