Abstract

The relative fatness of striped hamster (cricetulus barabensis) was studied in Huh-ehaote district during 1984-1989. The results showed that there are no significent differences of relative fatness with respect to habitats and age -groups. However the fatness of different sexual were observed, and the females were fatter than the males. There are obvious seasonal changes in the relative fatness which is lower in summer, higher in spring and in autumn. The yearly variations of the relative fatness showed that it had an significant differences, but not correlation to its population dynamics.
