An Analysis of the Characteristics of Rural Economic Investigation in Republic of China

The rural economic investigation of Republic of China was initially carried on under some foreign professors' guidances or managements in some colleges.Along with the further propagation of sociology and anthropology method in China,and especially when the rural problem was increasingly serious,more organizations,groups and individuals have investigated rural economy.Not only the content of these investigations is rich and detailed,but also the methods are different.And the investigation purpose has gone through changes: from studying theory to equal emphasis on theory and application,and then application as the focus.At the same time,the rise and development of agricultural economy investigation is really the foundation of modern Chinese rural economy development.And the development and maturity of agricultural economy has also offered scholars important theoretical method to carry out rural economy investigation.
