Abstract

Objective: To discuss the influence of acupuncture treatment on the early recovery in patients with acute cerebral infarction. Methods: The patients with acute cerebral infarction within 48 hours of 64 cases were randomly divided into acupuncture group and control group. The control group received conventional drug therapy and the acupuncture group on the basis of control group therapy and acupuncture and the two groups were treated for 14 days. Before and after treatment, the changes of the two groups patients were measured with activity of daily living( BI) and the neurological deficit scores( NIHSS). Results: After the 14 days' treatment, the curative effect in the acupuncture group was significantly better than that of the control group. The NIHSS score of the acupuncture group was significantly lower than that of the control group( P 0. 05). Conclusion: Acupuncture has definite effect on the recovery of early acute cerebral infarction patients.
