Abstract

Objective To detect the effects of CAD/CAM pure Titanium based PFM crown on the periodontal tissue of the restored teeth. Methods Twenty clinical patients were randomly selected from the patients who came to the Department of Stomotology of the First Hospital of Shijiazhuang, with 30 premolars with a large area destruction of crowns. We used CAD/CAM pure Titanium based PFM crown combined with metal caryopivot to restore them. Before teeth preparation and 8 months after the placement of the crowns, the weight of GCF and the level of GCF-ALP and the concentration of TNF-αin gingival crevicular fluid were checked, the results analyzed statistically. Results Restoration marginal depth and fitness were all consistent with clinical requirement. The weight of GCF,the level of ALP and concentration of TNF-αin gingival crevicular fluid before and after operation had no significant statistical difference(P0.05).Conclusion In short term, pure Titanium based PFM crown clinically qualified has no significantly negative influence on gingival health of the restored teeth.
