Abstract
Objective To evaluate the safety and effectiveness of transurethral Plasmakinetic vaporization of the prostate. Methods 74 cases of BPH(benign prostatic hyperplasia) were treated with TUPKVP.Results The average time of operation was 80 min. There was less blood loss and no transurethral resection syndrone or obturator nerve reflex occurring. All patients were followed up for 6 months postoperatively, the IPSS decreased from 28.4±2.0 to 11.3±3.4,and the Qmax increased from 6.1±2.4 ml/s to 21.2±2.0 ml/s.Conclusion TUPKVP is a safe and effective method for transurethral resection of BPH with less complications.
