Abstract

Although having not been used till recently, term the has been existed since old times. Invested from its history, noumenom theory can be divided into four parts: ancient, medieval, recent and modern theory. Its modern significance can be revealed in following aspects: changing questioning mode What is to What should be; changing description of existential condition to assessment of meaning of to man's activity. All can be concluded that theory, of which primary principles are its rationality and non-substantiality, is merely a certainty of thinking logical prerequisite in modern philosophical context, and a certainty of noumenon promise entirely different from traditional noumenon.
