Abstract
Objective To study the clinical and pathological features of gastrointestinal lymphoma arising from muscosa-associated lymphoid tissue(GIL-MALT).Methods Clinical and pathological data of 47 patients with gastrointestinal MALT lymphoma were retrospectively reviewed and analysed. Results MALT patients had a median age of 57.2years with male predominance.Abdominal pain and febrile were two predominant symptoms. The tumor originated from stomach in 32 cases, small intestine in 4,ileocecal region and blindgut in 5,and large intestine in 6.The tumor appeared nodular in 15cases,ulcerative in 25,and infiltrative in 7 by endoscope or colonoscope. All the cases were B-cell lymphomas except one. Conclusions Clinical presentation and endoscope of GIL-MALT easily leacl to wrong diagonosis.Multiple sites and deep bites biopsy can improve the diagnostic accuracy
