Abstract

Objective To explore the risk factors for gout by comparing the defenses in serum uric acid, triglyceride and cholesterol between patients with gout and hyperuricemia. Methods Totally 175 patients with gout were enrolled as trial group and 179 patients with hyperuricemia but with no gout as control group.Single-factor and multi-factors analysis methods were adopted to analyze the differences in clinical-biochemical indicators between the two groups so as to detect the clinical risk factors. Results The differences between the two groups in age,as well as the levels of serum uric acid, urea nitrogen, creatine, triglyceride and cholesterol showed statistically significance(P0.05).The gender(male),hyperuricemia, and the increases of urea nitrogen, triglyceride and cholesterol were the independent risk factors for gout(OR=313.564,0.991,2.011,2.153,8.055,respectively.P0.05).Conclusion The hyperuricemia, hypertriglyceridemia and hypercholesterolemia are the clinical risk factors for attack of gout.
