Comparison between CT and pathologic staging of carcinoma

Abstract

Objedve:To compare the CT and pathologic swing of metal carcinoma.Methods: Compared with CT and pathologic staging in 37 cases of rectal carcinoma retrospectively. Results: The accuracy late of perirectal invasion and staging by CT were 84. 5 % and 83.8% (Ⅱ, Ⅲ a, Ⅲ b and Ⅳ staging of rectal carcinoma was 81 .9%, 80%, 87.5% and 100% respectively),however,for the metastatic lymph nodes,the accuracy rate by CT was only 50% .Conclusion:CT can find lesions, define the infiltrating range of the lesions and distant metastasis,so it plays an important role in defining tumors staging before operation.
