Specificity and surgical strategy for emergency treatment of blunt pulmonary contusion

Objective:To explore the specificity of the diagnosis of emergency treatment of blunt pulmonary contusion as well as trauma causes and summarize corresponding surgical strategy.Methods:C1imcal data of76cases with blunt pulmonary contusion were divided into two groups and analyzed retrospectively.Group A was those10years before1994and group B10years after1994.Cases,causes and mortality were compared between two groups and processed statistically.Results:Compared with the group A,the emergency cases were significantly increased in the group B with significantly decrease of mortality(P0.01).There were apparent changes in trauma causes and severity degree of patient’s condition.Conclusion:Blunt pulmonary contusion is likely to increase significantly in recent decade,and we must take a newlook at emergency treatment of blunt pulmonary contusion.It is beneficial to clinical application of surgical strategy and can elevate the success rate in treating blunt pulmonary contusion.
