Progress,Challenge and Prospects of the Quality Assurance System of Higher Education in China

With the quick developing pace higher education in China,the quality assurance Chinese higher education has experienced four forms: pass evaluation,excellence evaluation,random evaluationand level evaluation. These formed the system China's higher education with its typical Chinese characteristics,and this has developed into standardization,specialization and institutionalization. Although the 1st-cycle is of great significance and remarkable achievements,there exist many problems such asthe contradiction between the results and reality,as well as the challenges the government-dominated mode and others. The present paper holds that the ultimate goal the quality assurance Chinese higher education is to improve the quality higher education andpromote the development connotative model higher education. Standing on the node the future and the history,the quality assurance Chinese higher education should be neither the unique phenomenon in China,nor a mechanical version the western model,we should focus on four aspects such as the quality assurance concept evaluation for education,establishing a national standard system education quality and others.
