Brief Discussion on Evolution of Research on Chinese Literature History

Since the publication of the first History of Chinese Literature by our countrymen at the early part of the 20th century,historiography of literature has gradually become an independent subject with modern sense.With the emergence of this subject,the studies by scholars on it have also stepped on the right path.On retrospect,the research course of some a hundred years can be divided into four phases: the original setting up,the development,the transformation and the deploitation.By a comprehensive review on the situation of each research phase,it can be found out that outstanding brilliance has been the characteristic of the researches with the good and bad intermingled as a basic status quo.
