Abstract
The straight chain fatty acids, such as octanoic acid (C8), Capric acid (C10), Lauric acid (C12), were used as the raw materials to obtain modified fatty acid series products (CH3(CH2)nCHClCOONa) by chlorination and neutralization reaction. The flotation performance of the acid products was compared with their corresponding fatty acids collector. The results showed that the recovery of P2O5 was more than 80 % and the concentrate grade reached 30.00 %, which met the requirements of the flotation indexes. The lauric acid and its derivatives had better phosphorite flotation performance.
