Epidemiological analysis on school respiratory infectious diseases in 2008 in Qinghai

Abstract

【Objective】 To study the epidemiological characteristics and the influencing factors of school respiratory infectious diseases,and to provide evidence for the preventive strategies.【Methods】 Descriptive epidemiology method was used to analyze the data of school respiratory infectious diseases outbreaks reported in 《The Management Information System of Reporting Emergency Public Health Event》.【Results】 23 outbreaks of school respiratory infectious diseases were reported in Qinghai in 2008,686 cases and 0 death were involved.These outbreaks chiefly occurred in May,June and September.The 16 events caused by respiratory infectious diseases occurred in country schools.The incidence rate was 69.75% in total school respiratory infectious diseases outbreaks.【Conclusion】 Outbreaks of infectious diseases are the important problem of school health in Qinghai.We should strengthen the health management in schools.
