Abstract
The phenylethyl benzoate was directly synthesized using SnCl_45H_2O as catalyst under microwave irradiation. The environmentally friendly method has advantages of easy operation, high reaction rate and high yield of the products when microwave power was 288 W, irradiation time was 5 min, 41(amount of substance) of alcohol to acid, SnCl_45H_2O (1.2 g) as catalyst, the yield was up to 97.2%
