Tentative Suggestions on the Vocational Education Reform of China

Considering that there still exist some problems and defects in vocational education system;the reform needs to be deepened.The paper brings forward five points in improving the system.Firstly,the fiscal investment on higher vocational schools should be increased so as to popularize secondary vocational education by stages.Secondly,as a result of the reform of vocational education system,students' employment rate would be barometer of student enrollment,so vocational schools should seek the way of sustainable development;thirdly,an evaluation system should be established to test technical ability of higher vocational school students and accordingly,the elimination mechanism of incompetent schools can be consummated;then,the state government need also loose the restriction on the upgrading of secondary vocational schools after considering the overall development of secondary and higher vocational schools;finally,it is important to integrate vocational education resources and these resources should be distributed properly so as to exert integrate advantages.
