New Thinking about the Problem of Identity in Current China

Taking the new conditions of international situation and domestic problems of nationalities into consideration,the author advances the idea that we should underline and foster national,Chinese ethnic and citizen ship identities and deal with the relationships between Chinese ethnic identity and ethnic identity,ethnic identity and citizen ship identity,national identity and citizen ship identity.National,Chinese ethnic,ethnic,or citizen ship identity forms an interactive structure.Understanding the ethnic policies of our party and country can make for the cultivation of nationalities' and citizens' national identity.Problems such as ignoring national identity and citizen ship identity,the bias of people's cognition of Chinese ethnic identity and Chinese culture identity,the lack of identification of multiple authentications are also discussed in the paper.
