Abstract

Interaction property between geosynthetics and fill materials was an important factor to determine tension characteristics in components of liner system in landfill. The investigation about the interaction characteristics of 3 kinds of geosynthetics with sand and clay were presented by pull out tests.Experimental results show:The peak shear stress and its shear displacement increase with the increasing of normal stress.Angle of friction between geosynthetics and clay is bigger;when the fill material is sand, angle of friction between geosynthetics and sand, geotxtile first places;EPDM geomembrane comes second;HDPE geomembrane comes last; When the geotextiles are installed on the up and down of the HDPE geomembrane, the coefficient of friction of the interface is smallest.
